No, YOU Shut Up!

Zig-a-zig-ahh

Okay, two things in particular are really bothering me at the moment. First and foremost, I live in Hell! Literally speaking I reside outside Denver. It’s absolutely beautiful here, the Avalanche rule [NHL], and people couldn’t be much friendlier. However, on a smaller scale, my neighborhood is a dump! Again, speaking literally the brand new apartment complex I live in is really quite lovely. It’s called Dove Valley, even though there are virtually NO birds around let alone doves, and it is in fact on top of a hill not in a valley. But hey, who am I to question suburban logic? Perhaps, however, that should have been a tip-off, that the sparkling swimming pool and lavish fountain were just a façade. The truth is every inconsiderate jackass in the rocky mountain region lives at Dove Valley! Noisy doesn’t begin to describe these drunken idiots, stumbling up and down the stairs in the middle of the night, urinating outside, backing their cars into the dumpster. Then once all that has subsided and I think it’s safe to try and sleep, the newspaper hits my door like it was thrown with the vengeance of a Molotov cocktail, startling the hell out of me. About an hour later, 5-5:30 a.m., the people upstairs who must be farmers get up. It sounds like they bring the cows indoors for milking. Yes, I’ve complained! I’ve been nice and I’ve been nasty, both with some temporary success. But all in all I’ve given up. It’s just good that I have no plausible reason for getting out of bed before noon, and that I only have five months left in my lease. But remember when renting, kids… you can’t judge a book by its cover; location, location, location;dump and learn to sleep with a pillow over your head.
Oh yeah, and the other thing that’s annoying me is McDonald’s using that stupid Spice Girls song in a commercial. It had finally gone away! Now, I see that commercial once, and I hear that damn song all day. And “zig-a-zig-ahh” does not make me want chicken McNuggets!
