Hmm.. perhaps I talk about tv too much. So I’ll just say this and that’s all - I’m done with “Friends,” but “CSI Miami” and “Robbery Homicide Division” are COOL! Okay so what else is going on in the world? Or in my little world anyway… Okay so my new place turned out to be a big dump -a dump with boundless potential, but with a deadbeat landlord it will remain a dump- so I haven’t been able to see past these walls lately. And from what I have seen it’s been a pretty slow news month. In fact all I ever see is George W ranting and raving and begging for permission to point those missiles at Iraq and push the button. He was actually in Denver this past week to give speeches at rallies for local elections, and used that as yet another opportunity. Meanwhile outside there were actually protesters! People yelling with signs handcuffing themselves to stuff, getting in fights getting arrested.. it was like Philly after the 76′ers win a playoff game (with one major difference). Wow, I thought! These people are really politically conscious or something. That seems kind of weird to me at this point. How do they find the time and energy? Or better yet, why? The way I see it, our world leaders are engaged in a life-sized game of Risk and they’re gonna do what they wanna do. And boys will be boys, so eventually George will get his wish. It did make me feel a little empty inside though. I’ve never protested anything - at least not publicly. I consider myself a pacifist. In other words I’d rather sit comfortably in front of the tv and bitch about and/or make fun of what other people are doing. We all have our little part to play. Hmm.. oddly I can’t really think of anything else that has been particularly pissing me off lately. Maybe I’m mellowing in my old age. Ha ha ha ha, not bloody likely! In fact I just commented that I have entirely lost any form of tolerance for stupid people. I can hate people pretty much on sight. Examples: Fred Durst disciples with their backwards baseball caps and tube socks with shorts - they’re worse than the slim shady crowd; anyone with a “pro-life” bumper sticker on their car - makes me wanna go out and get an abortion out of spite; and of course, J-Lo. I think I was actually pretty tolerant with Jennifer Lopez, movies, music, modeling, and the whole Puffy debacle. But once she started calling herself J-Lo I had pretty much had Enough! I wonder if her and Mr. Combs got back together and got married she’d go by J-Lo-Diddy? Hey, how did I get back to the world of entertainment? I guess I’m just shallow. Sue me. Oh yeah, I’m also going to start planting keywords in my posts because most of the people who end up on my page end up here by mistake because they were searching for things like ‘Scrabble Cheat Programs’ [losers!], “Dell Computer Guy”, [I don't even want to know why], or my all-time favorite, “Boneless Girl” [again, it's better not to even ponder what it was these people were looking for when they found my entry about the contortionist in Cirque de Soleil]. I’ll have to come up with some really good random stuff like: “Alf” - he’s made quite a comeback in those 10-10-220 commercials, I bet the younger generation wants to know more about him; or maybe “Prozac” or “the morning after pill” - that should get me lots of traffic.
