No, YOU Shut Up!

Merry Tivo!

Tivo, Tivo, Tivo! I have Tivo! Just got it hooked up tonight. Did it myself (yeah, that only took four hours and three phone calls to my Tivo guy (aka, my new best friend), Adam.
Oooh! I just used my Tivo to “blip it back” -that’s what my friend Steve calls it when he rewinds his Tivo- to see Ghraham Norton’s dramatic entrance on the Christmas show. Speaking of which, here’s a picture worth a couple thousand words.

I love Graham!
Plus even if I am watching live TV as I am now, I can hit pause when commercials start, wait a few minutes, then blip it forward passed the commercials. This is the coolest thing ever and I can’t even use it to it’s full potential for another four hours when it finishes downloading all my programming info. I suspect I will be very busy tomorrow evening.
Oh there was one other bit of excitement today (tho compared to the technilogical wonder that is Tivo, it it’s fairly unexciting). I waited on Ed McCaffrey at the store today. Now, to me this was far less thrilling than the Joe Sackic encounter, in fact it barely qualifies as noteworthy. But to other people in the store, employees & customers, it was a really big deal. Actually, I don’t even know how I knew it was him, but it was more from his car dealership commercials than from the Broncos. At 6′5″ he would have been difficult to overlook, and he’s pretty good lookin’ for a football player I suppose. Still he’s no Marty McInnis. Anyway, I almost got his phone number. He bought a couple of things (I won’t mention what specifically - I don’t want to spoil anybody’s x-mas present if they happen to be on his gift list.), and he wanted to come back and pick it up later. So I asked to have his credit card back so that I could get his name -I was pretending not to recognize him. Then I asked him “You’re not going to forget about it are you?” He said “Nah.” I said, “Are you sure? Because if you think you might forget, I need to get your phone number so we can remind you.” He just smiled and said, “I won’t forget.”
I think he just didn’t trust me! I don’t know why… I am very good. That is why I deserve everything on my Wish List. By the way there are only 6 shopping days left! hint hint
