No, YOU Shut Up!

Blizzzzzard!

Well, Mother Nature is finally trying to make up for some lost ground in Denver. There is currently about 18″ of snow on the ground, and on the roof, and on the car, and on the tree in my tiny little backyard / patio space. The branches are leaning over under the weight of the snow to the point they are touching the ground (well actually they are touching the top of the snow drift), and it is still snowing and blowing. Denver looks like a ghost town on the traffic cams on the news, all major highways in & out are closed and so is the airport. It’s really cool!! We have a slew of pictures taken throughout the day, but for now I’m only sharing one - the funniest one. It was taken by my friend Merrianne, whose covered patio collapsed today under the weight of the snow (those pictures weren’t so amusing). One of the reasons we bonded with Merrianne is a shared love and longing for Jack In The Box, home of the Sourdough Jack and the best chocolate shakes on the planet - don’t let anyone tell ya that fast food isn’t addictive. She actually had us bring her back $3 worth of tacos on our recent trip to the west coast. Keep in mind, the last Jack In The Box on the way home is in Washington, Utah, 9 hours away. AND we were staying in Utah overnight. So we picked up the tacos on Sunday night, got home Monday night, she didn’t pick them up until Friday -by which time my fridge smelled like Tiajuana. She ate one or two then but is still hoarding some in her freezer. Now, I really LOVE all things Jack in the Box, even their commercials, but umm.. that’s just wacky and I would never do that. She has, however, now determined that the tacos have healing properties, because she was getting a cold or the flu and she ate one and felt better and didnt get sick, so that’s why she’s saving them, and apparently others share this medicinal-taco theory, and I just said “yeah, they’re like penicilin.”
Anywhoo.. Merrianne took a picture just for us of her Jack in the Box antenna ball and we were laughing for 5 minutes! Heeheeheehee.. it still makes me laugh! He looks more like a Marge Simpson antenna ball now!
Maybe I’ll share more blizzard pics tomorrow, since it’s supposed to snow another 15 hours or 15 inches which ever comes first. Right now I’m behind in my ‘Blizzard Party,’ I’m having ‘blizzard brownies’ and ‘blizzard booze!’

You should be ashamed, treating me like that! Now dust me off and warm me up!
