Hawaii was truly paradise - the friends, the food, the movies….
Yes, the movies. I went very excited about the extra-added bonus of seeing the much anticipated final chapter of the Matrix trilogy, “Revolutions.” We went to the new Ward Stadium theaters on opening day. We sat in our seats and as the familiar WB logo came up on the green-tinted screen and the ominous intro began it was like being on a roller coaster climbing slowly up that first big incline, nervously awaiting the thrill-ride to come. Then as quickly as a roller coaster ride it was all over. I’m not going to analyze, criticize, and justify, it was what it was.. the end. And while the end was a far cry from the beginning - unquestionably the greatest movie ever made ever, it is still a fantastic franchise! But the real cinematic surprise was on the plane ride over the pacific, courtesy of United Airlines who featured Pixar’s “Finding Nemo.” Now this movie did not disappoint, and I can only hope they make two sequels! I haven’t stopped quoting Dori and humming “keep swimming.” Ellen Degeneres should get an oscar for best supporting fish! Marlin, and his son Fabio were not bad either.
I have seen both movies twice now and even tho I have become a little obsessive about finding Keeanu Reeves in my Tivo wishlist [I've watched the E-True Hollywood Story, Biography and Speed just to remind myself he's not really dead] I would choose to watch Nemo a third time (and maybe a fourth) before revisiting Revolutions. Oh and speaking of movies.. I have to take a minute to mention the “Paris Hilton sex tape.” Why?? because I am willing to bet millions of pathetic boys are online searching for it daily and I just want to mess with them by having my blog show up on their search results. HaHaHaHaHaHa! So I apologize to those poor folks who are just trying to book a reservation at the Hilton hotel in gay Paris’. But hey, who else is gonna cover Pixar to Porno in the same paragraph.
