No, YOU Shut Up!

seasons change

So we’ve begun the long ass season finale of “Survivor: Exile Island” and I sooo don’t care. They really did a poor job with casting this time. Shane was entertaining but despicable. Terry I suppose deserves it, but his head has gotten as big as that stupid skull on exile island. So I’m really just annoyed that I have to spend three hours of tivo time on it. And with everybody having two-hour, two night, special night season finales I have had to hook up tivo #3. We do have a spare, which means we have three Tivo’s in a house with only two TV’s (don’t ask), but consider the challenge there… how to program a Tivo that is not attached to a tv. Of course it can be done, a Tivo, like a vcr doesn’t need a tv to record, just the cable feed. So I split the cable on the second Tivo and hooked up the 3rd, but now how to program it? Wait… have to ffwd thru the b.s. remembering your former survivors and setting something on fire.. blehck!.. Anyway, so I had to hook up the spare Tivo directly just to force a connection to the network and download program info. Next problem is that Tivo remotes are not monogamous, and no matter where I put the two Tivo’s the remote was controlling them both. So I had to do my programming online, which is a great feature! So once I got that taken care of, I had to cover the spare which was only hooked to the cable at this point with a blanket, and test it and it was still receiving signals from the remote. A pillow on top and in front of it however took care of that. Wait, I better check the network and see if they are all doing what they are supposed to do. By the way, how predictable that the final immunity challenge was designed for the 95lb girl to win - smacks of the Jenna Morasca fiasco. I don’t dislike Danielle, there’s nothing there to like or dislike, but she doesn’t deserve to win, but Survivor has noting to do with deserve, Cirie is the only one who came close to deserving this one. Oh and now that Danielle picked Aras to go to the final two, I don’t have to worry about her winning. How predictable was that?? Just like this whole season was, there was never a single surprise! So, an hour before the vote, let me just say congratulations Aras! The Amazing Race ends this week too, also don’t care. Oh no, could it be? Have I outgrown reality TV??? Nah, it’s just managed to get worse. Didn’t think that was possible, but trust me it’s far more likely that reality tv is going downhill than it is that I have matured!
In other extremely dissatisfying season finales, the headline on nhl.com is also not surprising “the Hurricanes dispatch the Devils.” And the Avs already got swept. Life is just full of disappointments isn’t it?

**crap! just found out the president is going to be on during prime time monday nite!! going to have to adjust three tivo’s accordingly! grrr.. immigration-schmimmigration, it’s sweeps week! this is not going to boost his approval rating i’m thinkin’.
