My boyfriend, Brandon, is keeping himself busy. He was the Grand Marshal at Nascar’s Pepsi 400 in Daytona today.
He looks so.. human - but still good lookin’!
He better enjoy it while it lasts. The box office numbers are sadly nowhere near what they should be. I am baffled, people will go see anything. At this rate however there will not be a “Superman Returns Again.” I Am So Depressed! =(
And here’s the thing… I have a bit of a reputation, for being.. bad luck for boys i like. I could site examples (Marty McInnis’ career, and my ex’s whole life) but that’s reeeaaally depressing. Today it was speculated by the aforementioned ex that there hasn’t been anyone for me to “suck down” in a long time so I may have grown strong enough to bring down Superman! (nice, huh?) It’s sort of my own super power, but I guess that makes me a bit of an accidental villain. =( I Am So Depressed!
Oh, and by the way I happened to watch “Superman” the original movie from 1978 today on HBO (the Tivo was confused), and omg! Bryan Singer was so true to the original it was amazing. I mean, I didn’t remember most of it, but it was a thing that Lois couldn’t spell, and Lex Luthor asked his girlfriend, “You know what my father said to me when I was six?” and she said “Get out?!” There were several scenes taken directly from the original movie. He saved Lois from falling out of a hellicopter and said, “I hope this doesn’t put you off flying. Statistically it is the safest way to travel.” And, for the record, she was pretty much a whore from the beginning so it’s no surprise she hit the sack with Cyclopse as soon as Superman skipped town, besides she didn’t remember having a “relationship” with him. And there is lots of set up and explanation, including time passing differently on Krypton and crystals, and all that science mumbo-jumbo, so they weren’t breaking any inconvenient rules. Anyway, the point is I don’t know what people are complaining about! What, because Superman didn’t kick anyone’s ass? He didn’t do that in the first movie either, he’s always been the polite Superhero.
Well, not that another 10 bucks from me is going to help but now I have to go see it again because there’s not likely to be another chance to see Brandon or Superman on the big screen again. Besides, i feel kinda guilty.
I guess i better enjoy him while he lasts.
