Life would be so much better if there really WAS a Superman!
Twice today I’ve been watching tv when there was a “breaking news” story interrupting regular programming (which is quite unsettling and another good reason not to watch live tv). First was for the space shuttle launch. When did we start covering space shuttle launches again, i thought we didn’t care anymore? But i stopped and watched today, and (a) it made me realize i have a little bit of PTSD left over from watching the Challenger, i remember it really well. and (b) i realized i was waiting to see if something did go wrong, if Superman was going to show up. Then the crazy North Koreans started shooting off test missiles. umm.. yikes! And on July 4th – subtle! Again… where’s Superman when you need him?
You see, the world does need Superman! So people, stop sitting home watching scary news stories and reading my blog… Go see the movie dammit!
