Ok I used to do a semi-regular post that i would call “The coolest fucking thing I’ve seen on TV lately.” This show would definitely NOT have made the list, but I swear to god I am not making this up, there’s a show called “Pants-Off Dance-Off” on some cable channel called Fuse.

Sunday nights without the Soprano’s is usually not very entertaining, we had just finished watching “Intervention,” one of the most entertaining episodes I have seen in a long time, I might add in which crackhead Tim was laying in a storm drain in stagnant sludge crying for 30 minutes when the producer finally approached him to bring him out.. priceless! Then we watched the final episode of Dane Cook’s “Tourgasm,” finally – at least I think it was the last episode but I have thought the two previous episodes were the last episode. Some are calling it “Egogasm” and rightly so! At this point Tivo ran out of things to offer me so I’m looking for something, anything worth watching.. even a Lifetime movie with Yasmeen Bleeth and Robin Givens having a cat fight in the prison yard (which I swear to god is what’s on now). In my random search of channels, somewhere in the 400′s which I usually ignore because I don’t even know which of those channels I actually get, a title jumps out at me.. “Pants-Off Dance-Off.” Wtf?? Do I have FUSE? Yes, I do, not sure what it is but I do have it and they do have a show called “Pants-Off Dance-Off” and this just happened to be the “viewer’s choice” episode featuring people who have already been on the show. So they play pop music videos in the background and people, just normal (using the term very loosely) people are dancing and taking their clothes off. Yes they are just stripping, for no reason…. I was confused, so I looked it up on the fuse tv website and here is the description they provide for the show:

Fuse fans can escape reality and the local news by ogling the first dance and strip game show on TV. This show features all walks of life–young and old, men and women, fat and thin– shedding their clothes down to their skivvies while dancing to popular music videos for the chance to win bragging rights and some hard earned cash. fuse encourages viewers to vote online or via text, Tuesday through Friday, to pick their favorite nakeddancer to make the cut, and the potential for their comments to appear on-air. Each night a new contestant will win the opportunity to go head to head on Saturday’s official “pants-off” to be crowned the week’s Pants-Off Dance-Off winner.

I don’t know what to say really… there are old men, young girls, geeky guys, scary, scary, not attractive people dancing, badly, and taking their clothes off. It’s apparently on five days a week and they’re looking for contestants for season two.

I don’t know what else is on Fuse TV but I think I’m going to delete it from the list of channels that I receive from Tivo, just to be safe.
