I was really missing Brandon (sigh), and I haven’t even been to the drive in since Superman Returns departed…

Then I got an early birthday present (I’ll be 37 on the 27th and that’s all I’m gonna say about that) because there was no way to hide it let alone wrap it…

There’s a Superman standee in my living room!!
Kylie’s not a fan. She was barking her head off at him. Actually he startled us several times in the first couple days he was standing around. It’s quite startling to see a six foot tall super hero in your house when you’re not expecting it. He’s lucky he didn’t end up with bullet holes the first night (remember there are guns here) and I don’t think the bullets would bounce off that cardboard “S”. But how cool is that?
And in other exciting news… guess what’s on at the drive in this weekend (i can’t believe it’s already gone to weekends only)?… yep! “mother fuckin’ snakes on a mother fuckin’ plane”! i am soooo excited (and relieved that Sammy won’t have to call and threaten me again)!
ps: following last week’s “liquids on a plane” situation, you may have noticed that my Terror Alert system actually does work. for a few days it featured Elmo, Ernie, and Bert! and you could hold your mouse over each one and it would tell you what each level applied to, international flights, etc. you’ll notice now we’re back down to just Ernie & Bert, whew! Elmo’s out of work again, and that’s a good thing - maybe with his free time he can take a speech therapy class.
