for those of you who think it was a coincidence that the sopranos returned for their final episodes on easter sunday, think again. this is the show that had “the price is right” subtly playing on the tv in the background when christopher proposed to adriana, and everytime tony is watching the history channel, if you listen there is relevance in the program he is watching to the episode you are watching. every song, every glance, every gesture (not just the obscene ones) in every episode is purposeful, and last night’s resurrection was no exception.
some might say there wasn’t a lot of action, but my god the building tension was tangible. every seemingly innocent conversation was amazingly meaningful. this is why this is the best television show EVER! what are we going to do without it?
