So we’re watching “the holiday” - don’t ask me why since there’s not really a likeable actor in the cast, but it was about 12:30 and we heard a very loud boom. we actually felt it as much as heard it, it kind of shook the whole house. our first thought was obvious… godzilla. but then realizing the unlikeliness of that scenario, next we thought maybe a small plane incident since we live very close to one of the busiest small aircraft airports in the country. by the time i went outside the house to look for any obvious signs of the source of the raucous, like a space ship, or meteor, there were lots of sirens blaring.

so naturally we hopped in the car, kylie included and went in search of excitement - i don’t know if i mentioned that nothing ever happens here so when it does.. you have to go where the action is.

so we found the source about 1/2 a mile away, but after half an hour of rubber-neckin, as a professional blogger i can officially report - i have no idea what happened. but i took pictures.

for us to have heard it, it must have been an explosion of some kind but it looked like it was between the houses, although one house was totally scorched - the one on the right where you can see the fireman guy on the roof in the first picture.

anyway, if i find out what happened i’ll let you know.
