so we went to the drive in this weekend (that’s two weekends in a row - woohoo) and by the way, we went to Cinderella Twin this time because they no longer have a “No Pets” policy posted on their website or marquee. thank god, ’cause we were prepared to cause a scene and/or demonstrate kylie’s “service dog” skills - she’s my personal attack dog and as far as i’m concerned that counts, but i digress..

we went to see “Knocked Up,” but first watched “Ocean’s 13″ again, which i forgot to tell you was really good, on a scale where “Ocean’s 11″ is awesome and “Ocean’s 12″ is just ok. anywhoo, knocked up is funny but with lots of really raunchy boy humor, even more than “40 year-old virgin.” it’s totally implausible, and at times makes a single person really, really, happy to be single, but funny. but at some point our main character, the pregnant girl, and her sister have been moping around about their boy problems then the sister get’s all hyper-happy and says ‘come on, we’re gonna get up and go out and have a great day!’ etc, etc. and izzy, aka, kathrine heigl, aka i don’t know her name in the movie, says ‘how many red bulls have you had?,’ and the sister says she’s had 3 red bulls in 15 minutes. and it’s at this point i decide i need to break down and try a red bull and see what all the hub-bub is about.

they don’t sell red bull at the drive in which is probably good because they would probably be like 6 bucks a pop and i had already dropped like 15 bucks at the snack bar because we are so not into the swing of the drive in season that we don’t have movie snacks or our cooler ready to go. anyway, so we stopped at a convenience store on the way home (at 4 a.m., btw) and i got a 4-pack and those suckers are kind of expensive.

i drank all four of them on saturday afternoon/evening. not in a super short interval but over about three-four hours and i got nothin’. =(

granted, i can drink a triple espresso an hour before bed and sleep like a baby, but still.. i was highly disappointed.

so i’m looking for some insight or pointers or something about red bull.. maybe i did it wrong.. this may require some research.

ps: speaking of izzy, it would seem that i could go back to watching “grey’s anatomy” next season. she’s staying and they finally fired the jack ass bigot, but we’ll see.
